Electroforming - the technological basis

Electroforming


The core and technological platform is our electroforming facility with currently 30 high-performance nickel baths. With these we electroform nickel on previously produced bath models. The resulting nickel shells have extremely high forming accuracy and achieve layer thicknesses of 0.1 mm to several millimeters as well as deposition rates of 25 to 50 μm/h up to 1 mm/h.

Mold shapes for unique product designs


With our tool molds, we give unique product designs a reproducible face - without ifs and buts. Our commitment to reproducing even the most demanding surface structures in a reproducible and economical manner is the key feature that distinguishes our performance. The requirement profiles for our tool molds are diverse and a combination of complex geometries and unique grains (surface structures without separating edges) with simultaneously defined wall thicknesses with maximum long service lives.


Galvanic production of erosion control profiles


With the galvanic production of erosion protection profiles, we were able to develop into the world's leading partner in the aviation industry and maintain this leading market position to this day. Unlike our tool molds, our technological capabilities are in demand in the molding of smooth and flawless surfaces in series - economically, efficiently and qualitatively at the highest level.


Protection from tremendous weather conditions


The technical requirement profiles in the aviation sector characterize the high safety standard for the components, because erosion protection profiles are exposed to enormous weathering influences - often in combination with sand and dirt. Our design team therefore pursues the goal of optimally combining alloys, saving weight and decisively improving the durability of erosion protection profiles.
